1 of 6: You can't recruit him until Act III, Part 2.
2 of 6: You'll find him standing in the keep courtyard, near the farm transition point.
3 of 6: After you talk to him, go into the keep and talk to Kana about him.
4 of 6: You'll get to choose what to train him in and assign him to.
5 of 6: Unless you have a good reason to make another choice, you should go with Kana's idea of having him do road patrols.
6 of 6: You can later talk to Bevil again about his assignment and his feelings of guilt.
