Preparation Tips
1 of 6: First, if anyone in your party has level-ups pending, get them leveled up as far as they can go.
2 of 6: Then find the chest that's next to the nearby bed and take all the supplies from it. (Note that these items are class-dependent.)
3 of 6: Look in your inventory and equip the stuff you got that you want to use now.
4 of 6: Also put on the Harvest Cloak if you got it by winning all four Harvest Fair events in the tutorial. It only adds 1 to your Charisma, but that can help a little (especially if you're of a class that directly benefits from the Charisma stat).
5 of 6: As you leave your bedroom, look for the door to your foster father's bedroom nearby.
6 of 6: Go inside and raid the chest at the foot of his bed for an amulet that can be used to cast Aid six times, and a book that gives some info on what weapons to use against certain types of creatures.
