Neverwinter Nights 2 Hints

Alteration Powder

  • 1 of 10: This piece of evidence is in the possession of someone in Duskwood.
  • 2 of 10: You can travel there via world map transition point or the exit to Duskwood in the caverns. (See the Signet Ring hints if you want to know more about the caverns.)
  • 3 of 10: WARNING: For the duration of your time in Duskwood, you'll be under the influence of a Spell Failure effect, so you might want to first go trade out any magic-using companions (like Sand and Qara) for more fighter-like guys (like Casavir and Bishop).
  • 4 of 10: Move west to the map pin marked "Ancient Tree."
  • 5 of 10: As you approach it, someone named Lyssa will talk to you, thinking you're the guy she helped disguise as you.
  • 6 of 10: TIP: Even if you know you can't pass the Bluff check, try it anyway to avoid losing influence with Sand if he's with you.
  • 7 of 10: Ask her for some of the alteration powder she used to disguise Lorne as you.
  • 8 of 10: If you couldn't bluff her and don't want to have to fight her and her animal companions, you'll need to go to the caverns under Ember to get the Glowstone for her.
  • 9 of 10: See the Signet Ring hints to learn how to get the Glowstone. (Note that you can enter those caverns via the door that's up a path just west of Duskwood's world map transition point.)
  • 10 of 10: Come back and talk to Lyssa to hand over the Glowstone and get the powder.
