Special Tip
1 of 3: The black dragons will instantly die if the crystal heart is destroyed. I guess that's why they swooped down to stop you when you chose to attack it.
2 of 3: You could have your best melee fighter right-click on the crystal and choose to bash it while everyone else keeps the dragons busy. (Or have everyone bash the crystal, and hope the dragons can't kill you all off before the crystal shatters.)
3 of 3: Note, though, that you won't get combat XP for killing the dragons this way.
