Combat Notes
1 of 8: There are several groups of battling creatures around the outdoor ruins area.
2 of 8: When you come across one, attack while they're distracted by each other to gain an advantage.
3 of 8: There's an orc camp marked on the area map that has orcs who aren't immediately hostile.
4 of 8: Enter the camp to talk to Uthanck, who offers to make you a deal if you kill an ogre mage named Ghellu for him.
5 of 8: Agree to do it, then go kill Ghellu in Riverguard Keep and get his head.
6 of 8: Return to Uthanck and report success to get 1500 XP, then talk to Ilrah and say that Gruumsh is weak in order to get all of them (except Uthanck) to attack you so you can kill and loot them.
7 of 8: Uthanck has a magic amulet on him called The Ancient Sermon that's great for clerics, so you'll have to kill his band right off instead of doing his kill-Ghellu quest if you want to be sure to get the amulet.
8 of 8: Or you can come back much later in Act III and use a certain ancient book's first page to get your henchmen to kill Uthanck even though he's still friendly. The book you need for that is in Ammon Jerro's haven, so look for it and read the tips on how to use it when you get to that part of the game.
