Neverwinter Nights 2 Hints
Jerro Side Quest
of 10: When you next enter the keep building, Aldanon will be right near the door to tell you that Ammon Jerro has left for some unknown reason.
of 10: You don't have to go after him, but you can to get some extra combat XP and two powerful and unique magic items.
of 10: When you say you want to find him, you'll get to choose your party, and will then be taken automatically to Shandra's farm.
of 10: Buff everyone up -- especially with Mind Blank and Energy Resistance (Fire) -- then run forward until you get the cut-scene in which Koraboros appears and talks to Jerro.
of 10: After that's over, you'll need to help Jerro kill Koraboros and his horned devil pals.
of 10: Koraboros will keep summoning horned devils as you kill them, so it's best to concentrate your attacks on him until he goes down. (Though note that you do get XP for every horned devil you kill.)
of 10: After the combat is over, do your best to talk Jerro into repenting his misdeeds and apologizing for what he did to Shandra. If you manage it, a very powerful amulet called Shandra's Pendant will appear in his inventory, and you'll get 1000 bonus XP.
of 10: Then bash the big crate that's next to the farmhouse to reveal a box.
of 10: Inside the box is Balafour's Gnashing Rod, a powerful warlock-only mace that Jerro hid on the farm long ago.
of 10: Since his old weapon (a scimitar named The Forsaken Path) can be used by any class, you can give it to someone else and have Jerro equip the new rod.
