The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints
How can I find enough evidence to accuse Chanel?
of 11: Bittneld said he's seen her spending a lot of time in the West Tower recently, so start looking there.
of 11: To get to the West Tower, go back to the Private Quarters and look for a door near the SW end of it (right near Chanel's room).
of 11: Use the trap door behind the crates to reach a lower part of the West Tower, where you'll find a small art studio set up behind more crates.
of 11: Click on the unusual painting to get it to count as a clue, then review the journal entry that you got from talking to Chanel.
of 11: She said that she went to the castle's dining area after taking her alleged star readings. Maybe her visit to the dining area is actually genuine (a truth mixed in with the lie).
of 11: Go to the dining area (the large room just NE of the throne room on the Great Hall's main floor) and look around for something painting-related.
of 11: Check the large blue carpet that the table and chairs are on.
of 11: One end of the carpet has some large paint stains and a footprint on it.
of 11: Return to Chanel's room in the Private Quarters and see if you can find a paint-stained shoe.
of 11: You can't, but you can check the lectern on the small table underneath a painting to find several paint supplies in it.
of 11: Your journal says you now have enough evidence to make an accusation, so do it.
