The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints
How can I become a vampire?
1 of 7: As in Morrowind, start by letting a hostile vampire beat up on you until you contract the Porphyric Hemophilia disease.
2 of 7: You can find hostile vampires in the areas listed below.
3 of 7: Or you can join the Dark Brotherhood faction and finish all of Vicente Valtieri's quests, after which he'll offer to infect you on request. After accepting, sleep one hour in any empty bed in the sanctuary to get bit.
4 of 7: If you have the "Mehrunes Razor" DLC module installed, there's an option near the end of its quest that'll get you infected with the vampire disease. (See the separate Knights of the Nine hint file for more details.)
5 of 7: NOTE: If you have disease resistance, it'll make it harder for you to get infected via combat, though it's not impossible.
6 of 7: Once you're infected, refrain from curing the disease in any way (potions, spells, chapel altars).
7 of 7: Three or more days later, sleep an hour or more to become a first-stage vampire.
