The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints
How do I feed as a vampire?
of 8: You can still eat regular food (i.e., ingredient items), but that doesn't affect your vampiric nature. So go drink some blood!
of 8: The only way you can do that is to feed on a sleeping person.
of 8: Doing so is a crime, so you'll need to do it sneakily so no one catches you at it.
of 8: Break into a house at night when its residents are in bed, or join the Fighters and Mages Guilds and find sleeping victims in the guild buildings at night.
of 8: When you aim at a nearby sleeping person, you'll get the special "vampire feeding" symbol.
of 8: Use the Activate key on the sleeping person, then choose to feed rather than talk.
of 8: Just make sure there's no one awake nearby who can see you. You have to leave Sneak mode in order to feed, which makes you more visible.
of 8: NOTES: Drinking bottles of human blood won't affect your vampirism any. Also, the people you feed on will never die from it or turn into vampires themselves, so you don't need to worry about that.
