The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints

Waterfront Pick-Up

  • 1 of 11: Next to Myvryna Arano's house in the IC Waterfront area is a locked barrel.
  • 2 of 11: Every week on Tirdas (Tuesday) at about 6 am, Oghash gra-Magul starts out from her house in Cheydinhal and walks all the way to the Waterfront to pick up 10 bottles of skooma from that barrel and leave a payment.
  • 3 of 11: The skooma doesn't appear in the barrel until gra-Magul is almost there, though.
  • 4 of 11: You could be outside her house in Cheydinhal at 6 am on any Tirdas and follow her all the way to the barrel, but that takes a lot of time.
  • 5 of 11: Instead, go to the Temple District and wait next to the door to the Southwest Watch Tower.
  • 6 of 11: Gra-Magul should enter the district through that door at about 2 pm, after which you can follow her to the Waterfront.
  • 7 of 11: NOTE: It's easiest to go to that door before 2 pm and then wait in one-hour increments until she appears. If that doesn't work, try waiting in one-hour increments inside the watch tower while standing to where you can see both doors, or just stand in either place without using the wait-an-hour feature.
  • 8 of 11: In any case, it's hard to steal the skooma from the barrel without anyone seeing you, including the nearby gra-Magul.
  • 9 of 11: Try hiding next to the house on its right side so that at least gra-Magul won't see you as she approaches the barrel. (If Amusei or a beggar see you take the skooma, they may not report you.)
  • 10 of 11: Once you're in position and know that gra-Magul is near, keep opening the barrel and checking its contents until the skooma magically appears.
  • 11 of 11: TIP: It would be handy to sneakily lockpick the barrel ahead of time so you don't have to do it now.
