The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints
Combat Tips
of 8: Approach the grove very slowly and cautiously, preferably in the daytime when it's easier to see.
of 8: You'll want to draw off and fight one minotaur at a time so they don't gang up on you.
of 8: Also, don't go anywhere near the unicorn with a drawn weapon, or it'll rush to the attack.
of 8: Now's a really good time to use powerful magic spells and arrows tipped in poison potions, since you'll want to keep your distance from the minotaurs' powerful war hammers.
of 8: Melee fighters will have to dodge away from hammer blows and then rush in for a few quick attacks before dodging more hammer blows.
of 8: Or since the unicorn starts out all peaceful-like, you could run past the minotaurs and up to him (with no weapon drawn) and ride him out of there like a horse!
of 8: Have fun riding around on him, then take him somewhere nice and secluded (like Hircine's shrine) to kill him and get his horn.
of 8: If you go to the shrine and get the three worshippers' dispositions way up, they may help you fight the unicorn. However, quicksave right before attacking him, then quickrestore and try it again if the worshippers don't help you.
