The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints
The Giant Mud Crab
of 8: There's a special mud crab in the very back of Greenmead Cave (location 43 on the Great Forest map) that's much bigger than regular mud crabs.
of 8: In the starting cave area, make your way to the SE part to find the door to the Soggy Hollow area.
of 8: Go through the hollow to reach the Inky Grottos door at the NW end.
of 8: In the first large grotto room, dive into the big pool to find a couple of regular-sized mud crabs and an underwater passage.
of 8: Follow the passage along until you surface, then keep going until you reach the final big cave room.
of 8: Cross the stone bridge in the center of the room to reach the giant mud crab's area.
of 8: His giantness is purely visual, however -- don't expect an epic battle or a grand soul or anything like that.
of 8: If the mud crab is disappointing, check the two treasure chests near him for some good leveled treasure.
