The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints
How does the Wabbajack staff work?
1 of 5: You can use it to cast a special spell on an enemy creature. (It doesn't work on NPCs.)
2 of 5: For 10 seconds, the targeted creature will be transformed into a randomly chosen creature from this list: daedroth, troll, skeleton champion, sheep, rat, ogre, goblin skirmisher, or deer doe.
3 of 5: The transformed creature will be hostile to everyone, and is most likely to attack whoever's nearest it -- unless it turned into a sheep or deer, in which case it'll flee.
4 of 5: When the Wabbajack spell wears off, the targeted creature will transform back into what it was. The same thing happens if it's killed while under the spell.
5 of 5: Wabbajack is useful when fighting groups of creatures, since it can turn them briefly against each other. Also, it can make a single powerful creature easy to kill if you get lucky and transform it into a rat, sheep, or doe.
