The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints
Physical Skills
1 of 6: Of the two physical skills, Acrobatics is by far the easiest to practice up.
2 of 6: The best way to practice Acrobatics is in a "short corner" where you have room to stand up, but not enough room to actually jump. Use the Auto Move key to run constantly into the corner, and hit the Jump key over and over as fast as you can.
3 of 6: If you picked a good corner, you'll be able to "jump" every time the Jump key is pressed. This makes your Acrobatics skill increase a lot faster than if you were in a spot where you actually could jump up a ways, since you'd then have to wait until you came back down before you could jump again.
4 of 6: There are many such corners in the Tutorial quest dungeons, plus some in every city. For example, the northwest wall inside the Abandoned Shack in the Imperial City's Waterfront District works really well.
5 of 6: As for Athletics, the other physical skill, it goes up extremely slowly even though you're automatically practicing it whenever you walk or run without being in Sneak mode.
6 of 6: You gain points a bit faster when you're swimming, so one thing you could do is get a water-breathing item like Fin Gleam and go swimming in the ocean a lot, or set yourself up to swim constantly into a corner somewhere.
