The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints
Blood Well Notes
1 of 5: Get on the large "corpse masher" device and ride it up to the top.
2 of 5: Get off and go up a curving ramp to reach the tower's top floor.
3 of 5: You can use the "geared batton" up there to open the two large gates on the bridge that's just north of the Oblivion gate. This isn't necessary, but it makes the run back to the Oblivion gate from the northern towers straighter and quicker. (Also, you can loot the guard corpses that are between the gates.)
4 of 5: Near the batton is a blood fountain, which can be used to restore some health. Those things take a long time to regenerate, so don't count on using it or any other blood fountain more than once.
5 of 5: As you ride the "corpse masher" back down, make sure you're not standing too close to any of the holes that spikes will be coming up through.
