The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints
How can I weaken Valtieri?
1 of 7: Remember that he's a vampire. What item might be able to weaken him?
2 of 7: For a hint, read the note to Ocheeva that he has in his desk.
3 of 7: As in most vampire stories, he's severely allergic to garlic.
4 of 7: So sneak a portion of garlic into his inventory the same way you planted the poisoned apples on the others.
5 of 7: There's some garlic in Antoinetta Marie's locked chest in the Living Quarters area. If you've already gotten and used it (or if you can't pick the lock), check with all of Cheydinhal's merchants, including the ones in the inns.
6 of 7: If you still can't find any garlic, you'll have to go to some other city to get it. Skingrad is a good one, since there are garlic clusters hanging around in many of the houses and shops.
7 of 7: Sneaking garlic into Valtieri's inventory will cause his Strength and Endurance attributes to go all the way down to zero. That'll make him much weaker in combat.
