The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints
What if I never get it and she wins the competition?
of 10: This only happens if you wait a really long time (two days or so) after she nabs the diary without trying to get it back.
of 10: There's no reason to let that happen, but if you do, meet Cristophe at night again and talk to him about "Thieves Guild Test" to get him to give you another chance.
of 10: This time, you're to steal the sword of someone named Rohssan.
of 10: As before, find Puny Ancus sleeping nearby and bribe him five gold to tell you who and where Rohssan is.
of 10: She's the proprietor of the shop "A Fighting Chance" near the SE end of the Market District.
of 10: The sword you want is in the upstairs "Private Quarters" area, so sneak up there and lockpick its door.
of 10: TIP: If you're doing this during the day, run up the stairs and lockpick the door before Rohssan can come around to where she can see you doing it.
of 10: As soon as you enter the Private Quarters, you'll have to deal with Rohssan's guard dog.
of 10: If you don't want to dodge the dog long enough to carry out the theft, it's okay to kill it -- the Thieves Guild doesn't mind you killing animals, even if they're pets of the person you're stealing from.
of 10: You'll find Rohssan's Antique Cutlass in the locked chest that's on a table in the east corner of the area.
