The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints
How can I practice Speechcraft and raise dispositions at the same time?
1 of 6: First, you'll need to find out which two wedges of the four on the mini-game's "wheel" the person you're talking to doesn't like. It'll be the same two every time for that person.
2 of 6: Start a mini-game, then quickly point to the four wedges on the wheel, watching the person's facial expression to see which two they don't like. (Or just click on all four of them, noting which two cause their disposition to go down.)
3 of 6: Once you've got that memorized, start a mini-game and quickly check the two unliked wedges to see if either of them is minimal (just a small sliver). If so, click on it. If not, click on whichever of the two liked wedges is biggest.
4 of 6: Repeat that process to finish the mini-game. If you did it right, you'll have gotten maximum gain from the two liked wedges, and minimal loss from the two unliked ones.
5 of 6: You may not have actually gained overall if it took you too long to figure out what to do (since the disposiiton slowly drops over time), but you won't have lost much, and you'll probably gain a bit the next time you play. Once you get used to how this works, you can zoom through the mini-game and gain disposition almost every time.
6 of 6: NOTE: Once your Speechcraft is 25 and you have the "Rotate" option, use it right away if neither of the two unliked wedges starts off with a minimal sliver.
