The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints

The Renegade Shadowscale

  • 1 of 8: You can only get this quest after joining the Dark Brotherhood and finishing the "Scheduled for Execution" quest for Vicente Valtieri.
  • 2 of 8: Find Teinaava in the Cheydinhal sanctuary and talk to him to get this quest.
  • 3 of 8: He'll ask you to go kill a renegade Shadowscale guy who refuses to do his assassinatin' duties.
  • 4 of 8: You'll find your intended victim, Scar-Tail, at Bogwater Camp (location 18 on the Blackwood map).
  • 5 of 8: You can kill him and take his heart from his remains as ordered, or you can talk to him for an alternative.
  • 6 of 8: If you agree to spare him, he'll tell you that his treasure is hidden in the hollowed-out rock just north of his campfire, and he'll suggest you take the Argonian heart from the dead agent (next to a tree almost directly west of the tent).
  • 7 of 8: Of course, you could always take the treasure after killing Scar-Tail as long as you know where it is.
  • 8 of 8: After you get one Argonian heart or the other, you're good to go. Report back to Teinaava to get the Boots of Bloody Bounding.
