The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints

Whodunit?

  • 1 of 12: Talk to Ocheeva about "Contract" to get this quest.
  • 2 of 12: This sounds like one of the funnest quests ever! You'll be locked into a mansion with five victims who think there's a hidden treasure to be found, and you're just the sixth treasure hunter.
  • 3 of 12: Find Summitmist Manor up in the NE part of Skingrad and talk to Fafnir outside to get the manor key.
  • 4 of 12: As soon as you enter, Matilde Petit, one of the five targets, will talk to you.
  • 5 of 12: TIP: You can be honest and tell her you're an assassin to get a big disposition bonus (she thinks it's a great joke). You can then ask her about all the other guests.
  • 6 of 12: There are basically three ways to handle this if you're interested in getting the bonus for this mission. You can follow guests around one by one until they're alone in rooms and kill them all off that way, you can use conversation and disposition increasing to manipulate the guests and turn them against each other, or you can use a powerful Frenzy spell (see the Spellmaking Tips) to make them all fight each other.
  • 7 of 12: If getting each guest alone in order to kill them undetected is the way you're going, talk to each one to see if there's anything you can say to get them to go somewhere secluded with you.
  • 8 of 12: For instance, talk to Matilde Petit before anyone else is killed and say you'd like to make an "alliance" with her, then suggest searching the basement. Follow her down there and kill her!
  • 9 of 12: Not everyone is so easy, though. The rest will have to be dealt with in some other way.
  • 10 of 12: Once they're all dead meat, you can use the key Fafnir gave you earlier to leave via the front door.
  • 11 of 12: However, you should take the time to loot the manor before you head back to Ocheeva to report success.
  • 12 of 12: When you do, you'll get the special bonus of a blessing that permanently fortifies your Marksman, Security, Sneak, Blade, and Acrobatics skills.
