Once I'm at the fort, how can I get to the private refuge?
1 of 8: You could enter through the fort's front door.
2 of 8: Past a lever-opened gate, you'd start encountering hostile Dark Guardians. They don't know you, and won't ignore you like the one in the Cheydinhal sanctuary does.
3 of 8: There are also plenty of traps to get you if you decide to try running past the slow guardians instead of fighting them.
4 of 8: Fortunately, there's a much easier way.
5 of 8: Don't enter the fort through the front door, but instead search around for a secret alternate entrance. (One that Lachance might use to quickly get in and out.)
6 of 8: Against the wall at the NW corner of the fort is a large dead tree.
7 of 8: Hop up inside it to find a trap door.
8 of 8: Go through it to get directly into Lachance's sanctuary.
