The Master's Son

  • 1 of 12: After finishing Azzan's "Den of Thieves" quest and gro-Khash's "Amelion's Debt" quest, get someone to promote you to Protector and then talk to Oreyn.
  • 2 of 12: Ask him about "Duties," "Viranus Donton," and then "Confidence" to learn that you're to accompany the guildmaster's son on a quest.
  • 3 of 12: Follow the local map's quest pointer to Donton's current location.
  • 4 of 12: Talk to him about Galtus Previa to get him to start following you.
  • 5 of 12: Make your way from Chorrol to the Nonwyll Cavern, which is marked on your world map a ways north of Chorrol.
  • 6 of 12: Save as soon as you enter the cavern, since there are several tough creatures inside, including trolls and ogres.
  • 7 of 12: TIP: Viranus is unkillable, only going unconscious briefly when overpowered, so feel free to use him as a shield or distraction when he's awake.
  • 8 of 12: In the first area, find your way to one of the doors leading to the Chamber of the Titans.
  • 9 of 12: Make your way to that area's large central chamber, then take the north passage.
  • 10 of 12: When you approach Previa's body at the end of that passage, you'll get a journal entry saying to report back to Oreyn.
  • 11 of 12: TIP: If you're feeling tough, you can go down the central chamber's SW passage and kill off a minotaur, then look through its lair area for treasure and an alternate exit.
  • 12 of 12: Return to Chorrol and talk to Oreyn about Galtus Previa to finish the quest and get a leveled magic weapon. (Note that you have to be level 23 or higher to get the best-quality weapon.)
