The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints

Azani Blackheart

  • 1 of 12: After finishing Oreyn's previous quest, get him to promote you to Defender and then ask him about "Duties."
  • 2 of 12: He'll say to meet him in his house after dark, but you can just follow him there after your conversation no matter what time of day it is.
  • 3 of 12: Talk to him about the Blackwood Company and Azani Blackheart, and then tell him you're in.
  • 4 of 12: He says to meet him in the Leyawiin Fighters Guild building next, so fast-travel there and find him.
  • 5 of 12: When you talk to him, he'll start following you after saying that you need to check out Arpenia (location 25 on the Blackwood map).
  • 6 of 12: The fastest way to get there is to simply fast-travel to it using the game's world map.
  • 7 of 12: You'll need to watch out for traps as you explore the ruins, but Oreyn can easily handle all the combats for you (since they're just with minor creatures).
  • 8 of 12: After you run around in the large NE chamber for a bit, Oreyn will talk to you and tell you that the Blackwood Company clearly pulled some sort of scam here.
  • 9 of 12: When he's through talking, follow him to the exit and then all the way to Atatar, where he thinks Blackheart has moved to.
  • 10 of 12: When you find Blackheart in Loria, hang back and let Oreyn do most of the heavy fighting unless you have a really powerful magical spell or weapon to use on Blackheart.
  • 11 of 12: When he's dead, pick up his magic Sinweaver sword and search his body for more valuable stuff, including a ring that Oreyn will want.
  • 12 of 12: Talk to Oreyn about Blackheart's ring once you have it to turn it over and finish the quest.
