of 12: When you give the heart to the statue, Boethia will open a portal to Oblivion nearby that you're to enter when you're ready to start his arena-like Tournament of Ten Bloods.
of 12: Do not enter the portal until you are totally prepared, with lots of healing potions, good armor and weapons (like from other Daedric shrine quests), and all that jazz. The combats in there can be *really* hard!
of 12: When you arrive in Oblivion, open the brood cage gate and move forward into the first area.
of 12: After Boethia the Announcer is through talking, head over to the giant gate to the east to get it to open and give you access to your first opponent.
of 12: Keep going along the pre-determined path, going through war gates and fighting new opponents one-on-one until you defeat all nine of them.
of 12: After you kill the last one, wait for Boethia to say he's opened a portal for you.
of 12: Go through the nearby gate and then use the portal to return to the shrine area.
of 12: Talk to the statue to get your reward of the artifact one-handed blade Goldbrand, which does 22 points of fire damage per hit and has lots of charge. (Though note that a Daedric longsword or shortsword enchanted to do fire damage using a grand soul or a top-quality sigil stone would be a bit more powerful.)
