The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints

Meridia

  • 1 of 11: Meridia's shrine is at location 9 on the West Weald map.
  • 2 of 11: You'll have to be at least level 10 to get this quest.
  • 3 of 11: Talk to Basil Ernarde about "Shrine of Meridia."
  • 4 of 11: He'll say that she wants some remains from the undead as an offering.
  • 5 of 11: When you give the statue one of the right things, it'll tell you to go to the Howling Cave (location 22 on the West Weald map) and clear out the necromancers who are hiding out there.
  • 6 of 11: The cave's starting area doesn't look like much, but you'll start encountering ghosts and other undead as you head north.
  • 7 of 11: TIP: Any magic spell or weapon can harm ghosts, even magic weapons that have no charge left.
  • 8 of 11: When you've gone as far north as you can, look around for a secret rock "door" that slides into the ground as you approach.
  • 9 of 11: Past it is the door to the necromancers' area, so prepare yourself for a big battle with them.
  • 10 of 11: Once you've killed all the necromancers, you'll get a journal entry and can immediately retreat and go back to the shrine. (Or you can stay and finish off any leftover undead and loot the place.)
  • 11 of 11: You'll get the Ring of Khajiiti when you return to the shrine to report success. It's a lot better than Morrowind's Ring of Khajiit since it has constant effects of Chameleon 35% and Fortify Speed 10 points.
