The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints
How can I open this gate?
of 9: The push block you need is back in the main Ayleid room.
of 9: However, it's up on the upper walkway, so you'll have to get up there somehow.
of 9: Find the partly-raised stone stairs and go up them as far as you can.
of 9: Then jump up to the top of the stairs to get onto the upper walkway.
of 9: You'll need an Acrobatics skill of at least 61 to make it.
of 9: That's where the Boots of Springheel Jak can come in handy. If your Acrobatics skill is less than 61, put on the boots long enough to make the jump.
of 9: If you look to your right (east) from the top of the stairs, you'll see a push block in the wall, but that's not the one you want.
of 9: Run around to the southern part of the upper walkway and use the push block on the wall at its east end.
of 9: Now you can drop back down to the main floor and go through the newly opened gate.
