Affairs of a Wizard
1 of 12: Ride your neat new horse over to Hero Hill (location 60 on the Nibenay map) to get your dead drop orders for this quest.
2 of 12: Go as far up the hill as you can, then look around for a really big moss-covered rock.
3 of 12: It's a hollowed-out rock, so click on it to find your orders inside.
4 of 12: Pick them up to learn that you're to kill a necromancer in Leafrot Cave (location 18 on the Nibenay map) before he can transform himself into a lich.
5 of 12: In the first room you come to in the cave, read the "Path of Transcendence" book on the table to learn that Celedaen has a special hourglass in his inventory that you can pickpocket from him in order to instantly kill him.
6 of 12: Go through one of the two doors to Leafrot Hollow and carefully sneak around to find Celedaen.
7 of 12: The easiest way to get the hourglass from him is to paralyze him with a spell or an arrow from a poisoned bow.
8 of 12: Take the northern of the two doors to Leafrot Hollow, drop down through the big floor hole, and then open the wooden door and wait there with your spell ready or your bow drawn for Celedaen to walk by.
9 of 12: As soon as he's paralyzed, leave Sneak mode and run up to him and click on him (Activate key) to get his inventory. It may be kind of hard to find him since he goes invisible the instant he detects you.
10 of 12: Grab the Sands of Resolve from his inventory and then close the inventory window. He'll die instantly.
11 of 12: Your journal will tell you to go to Chorrol for your reward and the next dead drop quest orders.
12 of 12: You'll find both in the old sack that's nearly hidden by the bushes on the large central oak's south side. (Look for a quest arrow on the local map.)
