The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints

Matthias Draconis

  • 1 of 8: He lives in the Imperial City's Talos Plaza District.
  • 2 of 8: His house is near the SW corner of the district.
  • 3 of 8: Go there some time after midnight and break in.
  • 4 of 8: Sneak up the stairs to find the door to Matthias' Private Quarters area.
  • 5 of 8: You should find him asleep in bed, so sneak-attack him and then finish him off quickly.
  • 6 of 8: You'll get a 40-gold bounty for this, so be ready to deal with that somehow.
  • 7 of 8: TIP: Instead of killing him in bed, slip a poisoned apple into his inventory and then go after the other Draconises. Matthias should eventually eat the apple and die. (Note that you may have to steal all the food from in the main house area and the Private Quarters first.)
  • 8 of 8: ALTERNATIVE: See my Spellmaking Tips to learn how to make a useful Frenzy spell, then cast it on Matthias as he wanders about the city during the day so that the guards will kill him for you. (Note that he's the same level you are, so if you're over level 25, this won't work.)
