The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints
Finishing Up
1 of 6: Talk to Arquen to learn that her job is to get the Cheydinhal sanctuary up and running again, and your job is to visit the Lucky Old Lady statue in Bravil once a week to receive information on potential new contracts from the Night Mother.
2 of 6: In fact, you can go straight to Bravil and activate the statue to get your first contract lead now.
3 of 6: All contracts are from people outside of the Oblivion game world, so you can't go do any of them yourself.
4 of 6: Instead, you report what the Night Mother tells you to Arquen in the Cheydinhal sanctuary in order to get your weekly earnings.
5 of 6: Of course, you don't *have* to do that every single week on the dot -- if you're out on some important quest or looting expedition when it comes time to visit the Lucky Old Lady statue again, you can wait to do so until you're done with whatever you're doing.
6 of 6: One more neat perk of being Listener is that before long, the Cheydinhal sanctuary will become populated again, and you can ask low-ranking members to accompany you for journeys and combats (much like the Mages Guild Arch-Mage can do).
