The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints
Bruma
of 8: Go to Castle Bruma's Great Hall and find Countess Narina Carvain.
of 8: NOTE: If your Fame is 10 or more and you haven't started on the "Lifting the Vale" misc. quest, you'll have to get started on it before you can talk to the countess about buying a house.
of 8: Get her disposition up to 60 and then ask about "Buy a house in town."
of 8: Pay her 10,000 gold if you wish to buy what she describes as a quaint little house.
of 8: Go visit your quaint house (called "My Bruma House") on the east side of town (just NW of the east gate).
of 8: It comes unfurnished, so you'll have to go to the "Novaroma" shop a ways to the west and buy some furniture from Suurootan.
of 8: Scroll down in his shop inventory to find the "House" items that you can buy, then return to your house with them in order to get the furnishings put in.
of 8: NOTE: The "Buying a house in Bruma" quest won't leave your current quest list until you buy all the furnishings that Suurootan has (though you never really need to).
