The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints

The Siren's Deception

  • 1 of 15: To get this quest, you can either ask around about rumors until you hear about it, or you can talk to Maelona directly.
  • 2 of 15: Maelona can be found in Gogan's house at the west end of town when she's not strolling around outside.
  • 3 of 15: Ask her about "Gang" to learn that they stole a valuable ring from Gogan, then agree to help get it back.
  • 4 of 15: Ask about "Gang" one more time to get referred to the Flowing Bowl, a tavern that's outside the city walls, near the dock gate.
  • 5 of 15: You need to talk to Gogan next, so make this quest active if it isn't already and then follow the quest arrow to find him.
  • 6 of 15: Ask him about "Gang" to get a description of the two women who robbed him.
  • 7 of 15: Go to the Flowing Bowl and wait until Signy Home-Wrecker and Faustina Cartia show up.
  • 8 of 15: Talk to them to either get invited to their farmhouse for a "night of fun" if you're male, or to get invited to join their gang if you're female.
  • 9 of 15: Either way, find your way to Gweden Farm (location 7 on the Gold Coast map).
  • 10 of 15: After 11 pm, you'll be able to enter the farmhouse and talk to Faustina.
  • 11 of 15: When you reveal that you're there for Gogan's ring, she, Signy, and a Khajiit you've never seen before will attack you.
  • 12 of 15: It's impossible to leave the farmhouse during the attack, so be ready for a desperate close-quarters battle.
  • 13 of 15: As soon as all three gang members are dead, Maelona and Gogan will show up in full city guard uniform and reveal that they used you to help them get to the gang.
  • 14 of 15: TIP: After you get your reward from Maelona, get Faustina's magic Witsplinter dagger. It's great to use against spellcasters, since it drains Intelligence and damages magicka.
  • 15 of 15: TIP: Get a basement key from one of the dead gang members so you can enter the basement and loot the small eastern side room of its stolen treasures. You can't return them to the rightful owners, so you might as well sell or use them.
