The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints

Order of the Virtuous Blood

  • 1 of 17: When your Fame score is at least 5, go to the Temple District and wait around somewhere outdoors until Ralsa Norvalo approaches you.
  • 2 of 17: During the course of the conversation, you'll learn that her husband needs help on a very important matter.
  • 3 of 17: Go to Seridur's house near the SE corner of the Temple District and talk to Seridur.
  • 4 of 17: He'll lead you down into the basement and then explain that he, Ralsa's husband, and an Argonian named Grey-Throat are members of a vampire hunters' association, but aren't powerful enough to actually take on and kill vampires.
  • 5 of 17: Question Seridur further to learn that they've discovered that Roland Jenseric is a vampire, and they want you to kill him for them.
  • 6 of 17: You could quickly kill Jenseric and return to Seridur for your reward. This is especially easy to do if you travel to his cabin at night, when he's sleeping.
  • 7 of 17: Wait ... sleeping at night? That's not typical vampire behavior!
  • 8 of 17: Instead of attacking Jenseric, talk to him to learn that Seridur is the vampire in this story, and Jenseric was trying to help save his girlfriend from the fiend.
  • 9 of 17: Tell Jenseric that you're not going to kill him, then ask about Seridur to get referred to Phintias in the Imperial City Market District's "First Edition" store.
  • 10 of 17: Get Phintias' disposition up to 60 and ask about Seridur to learn that he often visits Memorial Cave (location 39 on the Heartlands map).
  • 11 of 17: Inside the cave, head south until you can turn west.
  • 12 of 17: Go as far west as you can, then south and west again to find Seridur.
  • 13 of 17: He's tougher than the average vampire, so come well prepared.
  • 14 of 17: After you kill him and loot his room, return to Jenseric's cabin and tell him the good news.
  • 15 of 17: He'll say to meet him in the basement of Seridur's house, so go there and talk to him to get your reward of a valuable Ring of Sunfire and honorary membership in the Order of the Virtuous Blood.
  • 16 of 17: Talk to him about "Vampire" again to learn that he'll pay 250 gold for each portion of vampire dust you bring him. That's a *lot* more than you could get by selling them to alchemists! Unfortunately, he may stop doing this after awhile. Also, there are some vampire dust portions he won't acknowledge for some reason.
  • 17 of 17: NOTE: If you can't find him in Seridur's basement later on, try looking in his (Roland Jenseric's) house. He'll sometimes be there instead.
