The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints
Knights of the White Stallion
of 17: To get this quest, finish "Mazoga the Orc" and talk to Count Caro about "Knights-Errant" and "Black Brugo." (Note that Mazoga has to have survived her quest.)
of 17: Talk to Mazoga to learn that your target, Black Brugo, visits the Ayleid ruin Telepe every day between midnight and 6 am to pick up his take.
of 17: When you're ready to go after him, talk to Mazoga and tell her to follow you.
of 17: Fast-travel to Five Riders Stables, then go up and over the hill to the NW to find Telepe.
of 17: TIP: Before you have Mazoga follow you, go to Telepe to get credit for finding it, then return to Mazoga and fast-travel straight to Telepe. That'll eliminate any problem she may have following you there.
of 17: If you have trouble seeing or attacking the bandit archer stationed outside Telepe, just go inside and wait for her to come in after you.
of 17: Go down the stairs and into the SE room, where you'll find two bandits to kill.
of 17: TIP: Most of these bandits drop special black bows that you can turn in for a reward after this quest is over. Also, some of them will have a paralyzing poison applied to them when you get them, so use them to help paralyze enemies.
of 17: To open the iron gate that's near the two-bandit room, go into the NW room and look for a push block on one wall.
of 17: Use it to open the gate, then go into the room beyond to find a locked Ayleid coffer.
of 17: That's the pick-up point, so wait there until Black Brugo and his bodyguards show up.
of 17: After they're dead, get their bows and Black Brugo's key, then open the Ayleid coffer with the key to get Brugo's gold.
of 17: Return to Castle Leyawiin's County Hall the next morning and report success to Count Caro to get a nice Leyawiin shield and a key to the White Stallion Lodge a ways NW of town. (Note that your membership in the Knights of the White Stallion shows up on your factions page.)
of 17: Find Mazoga nearby and tell her the good news. Now she's *really* a knight!
of 17: From now on, you can turn black bows over to Count Caro for 100 gold each, which is a lot more than you could sell them for. You'll want to save any that have a Paralyze poison effect on them until you use them once, then you can turn them in.
of 17: To get more black bows, you can return to Telepe since the bandits there respawn every now and then, or you can go to Rockmilk Cave (location 9 on the Blackwood map) to find a lot of them, or Undertow Cavern (location 4 on the same map) to find at least one.
of 17: NOTE: Mazoga often goes bandit-hunting in those areas, and you can accompany her if you find her at the lodge on one of those days and talk to her. (She usually heads out around 2 pm.)
