The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints
Zero Visibility
of 14: Go to Aleswell (location 24 on the Heartlands map) and look around for anyone to talk to.
of 14: The place seems abandoned at first, but there might be a hoe moving itself around the garden, or something spooky like that.
of 14: Notice the odd shimmering effects in various places?
of 14: Those are people! They just happen to all be invisible.
of 14: If you talk to anyone other than Diram Sarethi in the inn, they'll refer you to him.
of 14: He'll approach you and talk to you if you enter the inn and stand still (or if you wait around outside long enough).
of 14: He'll say that a wizard named Ancotar is probably the source of the invisibility problem, and he can be found in Fort Caractacus (location 23 on the Heartlands map).
of 14: WARNING: Watch out for invisible animals like bears and lions in the fort area. Use a Detect Life spell with a good range on it so you can "see" them before they see you.
of 14: Don't enter the fort through its door when you arrive. Instead, go up the stairs to the outer ruins' second floor.
of 14: That's where you'll find Ancotar. You should be able to fairly easily find him even without a Detect Life spell (though that could help).
of 14: When he learns that the people in Aleswell were affected too, he'll give you a Reverse Invisibility scroll that you can use anywhere in Aleswell to make everyone visible again.
of 14: However, don't just rush off and do it. If you do, you may find that the scroll also damages your Luck attribute by 50 points (though this doesn't always seem to happen).
of 14: After you use the scroll anywhere in Aleswell, everyone will be visible again, and you can find Diram Sarethi and talk to him to get your reward (which is the ability to stay in the inn for free anytime).
of 14: NOTE: You could cast the first Reverse Invisibility scroll while at the fort in order to ruin Ancotar's invisibility, and then ask him for another scroll. There's no real benefit to this, though, and you'd better not waste the second scroll.
