The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints

What's the shortcut way?

  • 1 of 11: Enter either the Tsunami or Eruption tower, since they're the two closest to the Oblivion gate.
  • 2 of 11: Ride the tower's "corpse masher" up, then use the curvy ramp to get up to the top floor.
  • 3 of 11: Find the door that leads outside to the connecting bridge, then cross it and enter the main citadel.
  • 4 of 11: After killing off any Daedra on your floor, quicksave your game since you're about to attempt a dangerous stunt.
  • 5 of 11: Look over the railing that keeps you from accidentally falling off the walkway.
  • 6 of 11: You see the walkway that's not too far down below you?
  • 7 of 11: Jump over the railing and drop carefully down onto that lower walkway.
  • 8 of 11: The game has no Slowfall spell (just to keep you from getting away with this sort of thing all the time, no doubt), so you'll have to be fully healed and ready to heal up again as soon as you land.
  • 9 of 11: It's hard, but if you jump onto the railing and carefully drop off of it and then lean on whichever directional movement key is appropriate for guiding your descent (it depends on which way you're facing), you can end up landing on the walkway below without taking too much damage.
  • 10 of 11: Or if your Acrobatics skill is high, you can go back outside and jump to the nearest lower connecting bridge, then go inside to find yourself on the lower walkway.
  • 11 of 11: Now you're on the level of the citadel that you need to be on to continue.
