General Tips and Comments
There is a lot of random death in this game. I won't give you hints telling you how to avoid dying in every situation -- it's usually just a matter of reloading and avoiding whatever killed you the last time. Because it is so easy to die, I recommend that you save frequently. Even something as seemingly innocent as choosing the wrong dialogue option can sometimes be deadly.
Also, be warned that the game is often picky about where you have to stand when using or picking up an object. If my hints don't seem to work, you may want to move your character around a bit and try again. You may have better luck the next time you try.
