Good Reasons to Restart ... Learn from my mistakes!

  • 1 of 8: I had to start over several times because I made some bad mistakes early on. Read this section for what I did to fix them after restarting.
  • 2 of 8: Using up my Magic Rings too early was my biggest mistake.  Plus, I found out the hard way about the money and ammunition rules.  Refer to my Early Game Advice for some ways to avoid those mistakes.
  • 3 of 8: The biggest change in my strategy was to stay in the body of Kay'l as long as possible.
  • 4 of 8: Beef up Kay'l so he can win all of the demon battles, Qalisar Tournament, and gun fights.
  • 5 of 8: As Kay'l, collect all of the money you can.  Take care of the few places where you need cash (Shooting Gallery ticket, a poster, fixing Den's Sneak, etc.).  Then spend ALL the rest on Medikits, Attack & Dodge potions and ammunition before trying to enter Jaunpur.
  • 6 of 8: Because Ysmala'n, the nurse, has a huge amount of Seteks, I let Kay'l attempt to enter Jaunpur just to get her cash.  I spent all of her money on essentials too.
  • 7 of 8: Reincarnate into each and every body to get their money.  Sell any valuables you find for cash at the Bank.  Before changing bodies again, spend every red cent, storing extras in the Multiplan for later retrieval.  (Small amounts left can buy food items.)
  • 8 of 8: Use the "good fighters" for cash.  When you change into Jorg, for instance, notice his stats.  He was a good fighter in the Sha'armet Tournament and won me over 3000 Seteks.
