Omikron: The Nomad Soul Hints
How can I defeat Astaroth?
1 of 9: He cannot be killed until he is released from the glowing ropes which hold him.
2 of 9: Six bright crystals power Astaroth's bindings.
3 of 9: Shoot all six of the crystals which are placed around the cavern. (Some cannot be seen unless you are directly in the line of fire.)
4 of 9: Astaroth has a vulnerable region in his back.
5 of 9: Look for a bluish triangle spot on his back. Shooting it repeatedly will kill him.
6 of 9: Positioning yourself behind him is the difficult part, especially out in the open.
7 of 9: He will jump up to try to stomp on your head. If you can, move out of the way and turn quickly and back up so you can shoot his backside. Once you hit it, keep shooting.
8 of 9: There is a small alcove, of sorts, to the right side near where you were first facing him. Find that indentation in the rocks where a column meets with the wall. Wedge yourself close to the corner and turn around. If you are positioned just right, he cannot find you and will turn around to look for you -- exposing his back in the process.
9 of 9: You will automatically use the Barkaya'l sword afterwards.
