How can I dry out the damp control panel?
1 of 12: You will first need to remove it from its housing.
2 of 12: You can do this by simply turning the screw here and picking it up.
3 of 12: You need to find a means by which to dry it out.
4 of 12: Remember that it isn't only heaters which generate heat.
5 of 12: Electric lights also put out a lot of heat.
6 of 12: You should also note that even with the plate removed, you are able to turn on and off the searchlight by connecting the red wire to either the red or green points shown on-screen. Red for off, and green for on.
7 of 12: If you place the circuit board on the searchlight when it's turned on, it will be far too hot and you will burn your hands.
8 of 12: So, switch the searchlight off first.
9 of 12: Next, take the circuit board and place it onto the searchlight.
10 of 12: Now head back into the booth and turn the light back on.
11 of 12: This will cause the heat generated by the light to dry the components, rendering it usable again.
12 of 12: You will need to remember to switch the searchlight off once more before you collect the dried-out circuit board.
