Overclocked: A History Of Violence Hints
What should I be doing first in my hotel room?
1 of 6: Once the game begins, Dave will look around his room and check himself out in the mirror.
2 of 6: He will also take a look at his answering machine -- notice that there is a blinking green light on it.
3 of 6: Indicative, isn't it? A flashing light on an answering machine.
4 of 6: The first click you make should be on the answering machine, and then select Listen from the subsequent pop-up context menu that appears.
5 of 6: There are two messages on the machine. The first is from Detective Moretti of the NYPD, and it gives you some information on why exactly you're here in New York. Pay attention to this message, as it's crucial.
6 of 6: The second message may seem trivial and unimportant for now. But still, you need to listen to it, as it comes into the storyline much later on in the game.
