Overclocked: A History Of Violence Hints
How can I get the key?
of 12: You're going to need to find a way to knock Cliff unconscious so you can take the key from his pocket without him killing you in the process.
of 12: This plan hinges on the fact that Cliff's bedroom (the door opposite the kitchen) is unlocked.
of 12: It also hinges on Cliff's love for a good glass (or bottle) of red wine.
of 12: Did you notice that Cliff is sitting in the kitchen drinking from a bottle. And, that that bottle is currently half-full?
of 12: Did you also notice that Cliff keeps a supply of fresh bottles of wine in his bedroom?
of 12: Perhaps if there were a way to speed up the drinking process, and have Cliff finish his current bottle, he would return to his bedroom to get more?
of 12: If you look carefully around his bedroom you will find an empty bottle of the same wine -- use the "Consider" context-sensitive icon to give Ray the idea of hiding behind the door, then take the bottle.
of 12: You now need to create a small distraction so that you can swap the bottles.
of 12: Talking to Cliff and asking for the key is quite sufficient -- this will cause him to look at his pocket briefly to ensure the key is still there.
of 12: While he is otherwise occupied, switch the bottles.
of 12: Now head to Cliff's room, and you will notice that on the wall to the left of his door (from where we stole the paper note earlier), there is a new hotspot entitled "Hide behind door."
of 12: Use this hotspot, and the game will play out the plan automatically (and subsequently end this flashback).
