The Pandora Directive Hints
How do I solve the slider puzzle?
of 12: Don't those symbols look familiar?
of 12: They were also on the Mayan number chart and there was an explanation in the culture book.
of 12: A dot is one, a line is five and a football-like shape is zero. And the symbols add as well.
of 12: As an example, take the square with the line with two dots According to the Mayan number system we have two ones and a five here. So this could be a seven.
of 12: Now, we have two columns, so this could mean we have to form two-digit numbers.
of 12: Where did you last see a list with two digit numbers?
of 12: Right, at the back of the photograph of Witt's statue.
of 12: The solution is different in "Game Player" mode and "Entertainment" mode. You also have a time limit in "Game Player" mode.
of 12: In "Game Player" mode you have to form the next list of Mayan numbers from top to bottom: 70, 12, 84, 65, 39, 67.
of 12: It should be easiest and fastest if you solve the puzzle one row at a time, starting with the bottom row.
of 12: In the "Game Player" mode, there are two 6's. Start by sliding the 6 in the left column to the space just above the lower 7, then slide the 7 to the right and the 6 down. This will complete the bottom row. If you try using the other 6, you may find yourself stuck.
