Paradise Hints
How do I get out of this locked room?
of 11: You could try asking the rat that scurries across the room from time to time; he has a talk icon on him, though I was never fast enough to get him to talk. Otherwise, you'll have to figure out something on your own.
of 11: You're limited to the stuff in Harambee's office. Root around and see what you find.
of 11: In the cupboard at the left, there are some miner's clothes. Well, if you escape you'll want to blend in; take them and use them on the screen at left. Natty! Now you look like one of Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders.
of 11: In the cupboard at the right, there are some pick handles and what look like pick heads (though the game calls the handles "rods" and the heads "knobs"). What can you do with them?
of 11: Combine a "rod" and a "knob" to make a pickaxe -- excuse me, a "miner's stick," good grief. Now what to use it on?
of 11: Not the door, unfortunately. There's a hotspot on the floor next to the cupboard. Try that.
of 11: But the hole you just created is of limited value, since it's much too far to drop safely. What else can we do with a hole in the floor?
of 11: How about a little classic misdirection?
of 11: If you could find a place to hide, when Harambee comes back he'll assume you went down the hole, and you can get away in the confusion. But where to hide?
of 11: Remember TV -- Think vertical!
of 11: Use the rhino head on the wall to climb up into the rafters and watch Harambee freak out. After he leaves, go out the door in perfect safety.
