Paradise Hints
I keep offending people when I talk to them.
1 of 4: Some characters are easier to offend than others, but almost everyone will get annoyed if you ask the wrong questions, especially if you persist in asking the wrong questions.
2 of 4: There's an easy way to tell if a question will be unwelcome before you ask it. Move the cursor over the question topic. If it turns white, it's okay to ask; if it doesn't change color, the person either doesn't know the answer or just isn't in the mood to talk about that thing.
3 of 4: You can sometimes get them in a better mood by asking other questions first; just keep checking back to see whether the topic changes to white later. If you've already offended them to the point that they refuse to talk to you at all, try doing something else and coming back to the person later to see if they've calmed down.
4 of 4: There are some people who have topics they're never willing to discuss. Check several times, and if a topic is still blanked out, consider other ways to find out what you need to know.
