Sawhit, nothing more than a common thief but supposedly delivering newspapers, saw him leaving the apartment and the door wide open, and let himself inside. Whilst he was stealing things from her home, Cindy returned. Sawhit panicked and struck her in the head with the first object he found, the statue of The Thinker.
