Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Justice For All Hints
How do I figure out the right statement(s) to Press?
1 of 4: If it isn't obvious, you'll very likely have to Press every statement. (Sometimes you can lose points for Pressing statements that are obviously irrelevant, but it is usually safe just to Press everything.) In some cases, it's impossible to contradict the witness; in those cases, you MUST Press every statement.
2 of 4: Similarly, when you get the option to "Continue Pressing" or to "Leave it be," it is usually safe to "Continue Pressing," even if it turns out to be a dead end--so try everything. (Also, when the judge asks you "Is this relevant?" while you're Pressing, it's usually safe to answer "yes.")
3 of 4: Of course, if Pressing one statement requires the witness to add a statement to the testimony or to revise a statement, you should always Press the new statement.
4 of 4: Finally, in some rare situations you have to Press some statements BEFORE you press other statements. One way to flush those out (if you're totally stumped) is to Press everything, then Press everything again. (Hold B to fast-forward through the testimony and speed up the process.)
