3 of 9: There's a furnace in the submarine.
4 of 9: But Fire doesn't work when it's this cold.
5 of 9: That spotlight is conveniently located.
6 of 9: How do I use the spotlight to melt the ice?
7 of 9: But you still can't get the rod. You'll have to get rid of the water.
8 of 9: Try the furnace again. Go up and turn the wheel to hear water flowing.
9 of 9: Now you can go get the rod from the barrel.
