Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal Hints
How do I get Celebi or Mew?
1 of 6: WARNING -- the next hint contains a cheat. Do not read ahead if you don't want to use it.
2 of 6: I know of three ways to get Celebi and Mew.
3 of 6: One way is to get it from Nintendo.
4 of 6: The other way is to use a GameShark, or something similar. This may however ruin your saved game, and your Celebi will most likely not be as powerful as a real Celebi. The same goes for Mew.
5 of 6: The third is to trade.
6 of 6: Japanese Crystal: (requires the mobile adapter for your cell phone, which is available only in Japan) Go to the Communication Center (Pokemon Center) in Goldenrod City, and read the message on the lockers to the right of the room. They will talk about a present from the future. Leave and the blue-haired nurse will ask you to defeat all sixteen gyms in order to obtain the GS Ball. Once you have done so, give the GS Ball to Kurt. The next day, he will give it back. Put it in the shrine in Ilex forest and a level 30 Serebii (Celebi) will attack you.
