How does Hidden Power behave?

  • This is very complicated, but I'll give a brief explanation on this topic.

    Hidden Power is based on the Pokemon stats on capture. These stats determine the base power and the attack type for Hidden Power. Hidden Power can act as any type, with the exception of Normal. The attack will be listed as a Normal attack, but it doesn't behave that way. This means that the opponent can use Counter (because it's always a physical attack) after you use Hidden Power, and possibly KO you in one turn.
