Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal Hints
I heard something about roars coming from inside the cave.
1 of 6: That's Lapras. Every Friday, it will appear in the cave. But it's hard to get to it, and I recommend having an Escape Rope.
2 of 6: You need both Surf and Strength to get there, so you can't get there before you're about halfway through Johto.
3 of 6: Climb the ladder in the cave. You should then be able to see some water. Surf across, and start looking for another ladder. Climb it.
4 of 6: You are now in a maze. It's not too hard to find your way, but it's still a long maze.
5 of 6: Once you get to Lapras, save your game, as it will not re-appear. After that, "talk" to Lapras. A fight will be started. If you don't catch it, do the four-button salute (A+B+Start+Select), select Continue from the main menu, and try again.
6 of 6: If you want to make it easier for you to catch him, have Kurt make some Heavy Balls by giving him some Black Apricorns. If you're playing Gold or Silver, he can only make one a day. In Crystal, however, you can have him make up to 99, providing you have enough Apricorns.
